Stress Management Workshop
From Stress to Well‑Being: A Practical, Gentle, Three‑Hour Reset
Stress touches every part of life — responsibilities, relationships, health, and the constant pace of change. But as you know, stress isn’t only about what happens to us. It’s shaped by perception, meaning, old patterns, and the ways our minds wander into the past or leap into the future.
This workshop brings all of that into clear, human language.
🌿 How this work began
Early in my career, as I moved from clinical physical therapy into teaching and consulting, I found myself working as a stress‑management consultant through the Augusta, Georgia Chamber of Commerce. I was teaching people in business and industry — people under pressure, responsible for others, and often running on empty.
What I learned quickly was simple:
Stress isn’t resolved by being told to relax. If it were, the word “relax” would solve everything.
Real change begins with understanding where tension comes from — mentally, emotionally, and physically.
🌿 What actually helps with stress
Stress isn’t just about circumstances. It’s about how the nervous system interprets experience.
Why does one person love a roller coaster while another is terrified? The difference isn’t the ride — it’s the meaning the body assigns to it.
In this workshop, we explore:
where stress responses originate
how beliefs form under pressure
why anger, worry, and overload show up the way they do
how the mind pulls us into past and future
and what can be changed — gently — to interrupt old patterns
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s awareness, choice, and relief.
🌿 Stress, the nervous system, and healing
There’s a simple physiological truth: When the nervous system is in chronic stress, the body’s ability to heal decreases.
The body is a self‑healing system — but only when we’re not living in constant activation. This workshop helps you understand how to shift into states where healing, clarity, and regulation are possible.
🌿 What this workshop offers
This three‑hour experience blends:
self‑assessment
gentle insight
practical tools
guided imagery
and simple nervous‑system techniques
You’ll explore your own stress patterns, discover what pulls your mind out of the present, and learn ways to return to a calmer, more grounded state.
You’ll leave with handouts, visuals, and practices you can use long after the workshop ends.
🌿 A meaningful closing
We end with two powerful pieces:
Tale of the Sands — a story about transformation and trusting the deeper part of yourself. The Healing Bubble — a guided visualization to help you integrate, soften, and reset.
These final moments give you a way to carry the work forward — not as a task, but as a way of being.
🌿 An invitation
If you’re feeling worn down, overwhelmed, or simply curious about understanding your stress responses more clearly, this workshop offers a grounded, humane space to explore what helps and why.
You don’t have to change everything. You just have to begin.
